Renewal
So, its been a happy though exhausting few days.

Thursdaymorning I had the ETC management session, which was tough but very refreshing. Tis cool to work on my 'core programming' in constructive manners with others who are honest (sometimes bluntly so) about their lives and opinions; we are widely different but share a love for fantasy books, gaming and the fact that nearly all of us went over the hill of burn-out. Suffice to say we have seen the pit, merrily waved at it and decided to take a detour. Very refreshing but incredibly tiring.
My car wasn't done on Friday, but I did not give the garage a hard time about it. They were really pulling out all the stops on my Fiat, so I'm pretty happy. Dad made no trouble of me borrowing the Fiat for a few days so I was mobile as his girl also had a car, which made my weekend possible. Had JW over on Friday for WoW. Together with a Rogue from JW Guild we ran through the Black Morass in one go, easier then I expected. I had the task of stopping the various forces going for the dude we were supposed to protect and I managed to keep him safe, so I was pretty happy; we also did a few group-quests in the Blade's Edge Mountains and did a run with several alts through the Ramparts of Hellfire Peninsula. My main is up to spec, and with more and more high-level characters on the server I find that it is getting easier and easier to dungeon. Jum. Also: playing WoW when a storm is raging outside adds to the mood. *grin*
Saturday was a bit tiring but okay, with first my mom's bday and then the Vendatta Vampire Live session in Delft, in the Boterhuis. One of the storytellers had mailed me on Thursday with the question if I could host it, which was a bit of a nervous thing for me (being a nefarious storyteller with Lex really made me realize with a ****-job Keeper of Elysium is...), and somehow, somewhere I felt Chris, Manon and Judith laughing at me. But I came through, had a good session and collected mucho good info which throw me back into the game without much problems.
The next day was the B-day of my dad's partner, Henny. In typical Burger-family-style it was a surprise party, ie. a bus full of her family from all over the country turning up to party. We first headed to Delft and had a guided tour. Rather weird to be getting the tour barely 12 hours after leaving the Vampire session not a 100m away, but hey... Best bit: visited the Prinsenhof. I love this country with its history so I was also loving this bit. I like places where I can feel history... where I can imagine. No surprise there. After that we had dinner in Bergschenhoek and went home again. Chilled a little here, watched Atlantis. Then monday, back to work.

My new Oehoe costume is nearly finished. Haven't seen it yet, though I have all manner of faith in the girl making it for me, since the Oehoe 1.0 robe was her creation as well, all those years ago. Which made me realise how long I've been playing Symbols again. Fun fun. And with 4 days of Symbols looking back at me in less the two months, I'm all good to go. Been reading Confessions of a Part-time Sorceress, a hilarious book about girl gamers. As I know that several gaming ladies read my blog: it's cool and very funny. Give it a read, or borrow my copy.

Other then that, I keeping having this spring in my step. Loving it. Renewal is here, passing through me and over me, and also several friends. Good times are ahead.

What a happy post! I enjoyed reading it. It is a pity my main char of wow is on another server (I will go through the black portal in Darkmoon Faire very soon) for I desperately would like to join you and your friends for a nice wow session. I cannot level up very easily with my mage Iskendria at Teneras and could use some help from ‘the big boys’. Would that be possible? And if yes.. when?

there is such a thing like payed transfer... but that does cost money which isn't the most ideal sollution. Still if you really want to it's possible, just to let you know ^^.

(I know because my character used to be on my boyfriends account and I transfered it to an account of my own... same can be done with realms. Sometimes realms-moving is free but rarely to the Terenas server as it's a popular server.)

Yep, marco moved to my realm with his main character, so we could play a lot more together. He got readely accepted in my guild, so that was a big plus too, as his old guild was more or less falling apart at the seams. We never for a second had the idea that it was wasted money.

Yupz,I'm aware of that possibility. Yet there's Arusetta who got like five characters on my server with which my char cooperates... I'd much rather find some help to 'up' my mage char (lvl 26).

"...and somehow, somewhere I felt Chris, Manon and Judith laughing at me."

Mwoehahahaha!

I`m sure you did alright, but indeed, being the Keeper IS a shitty job.

Have you seen Kindred pt I and II yet?
I really hate the storytellers of Atlantis now....

Both, yes. With the season having been a bit slow this right now seems like a bit of a 'watch the next episode, or else...' thing.

Well, waving goodbye to Paul McGillion once was hard enough...

But I do declare that they have been getting back into action these last three episodes. I agree that the first fifteen of season four were slow, like everyone needed to get used of Torri leaving. Finally, stuff is happening again. Joe is no longer the one big hero but now has a sidekick, and I must say that Jewel is more cute now than she ever was in Firefly (or as a Wraith).
Shame about Halling's hair though.
